When does the season run?

The ZHL season typically runs from September through April, with games played on Thursday evenings. The playoffs are held in May.

What is the cost to join?

League fees are $500 per player for the season, which includes ice time, jerseys, and end-of-season awards. Payment plans are available.

What equipment do I need?

Players are required to have full hockey equipment, including a helmet with cage or visor, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves, hockey pants, shin guards, skates, and a stick.

How are teams formed?

Teams are drafted by captains at the beginning of each season to ensure balanced competition. New players will participate in an evaluation skate to assess their skill level.

Is there a minimum skill level required?

The ZHL is designed for players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. We strive to create a fun and competitive environment for everyone.

Can I join mid-season?

Yes, depending on availability. Mid-season joiners will have prorated fees based on the number of games remaining in the season.
